I’m Fia. A print maker from Umeå, a small town in the north of Sweden. For almost ten years I have been working in the printing industry, and in 2021 I discovered my love for block printing. I get my biggest inspiration from Norrland - the northern part of Sweden where I’m from.

Block printing is a printing method descending from the Chinese woodcuts. The image is carved into a block, nowadays often linoleum. Ink is rolled onto the block with a brayer and the image is thereafter transferred to the paper in a press.
